St Charles
Anyone deliver recently? With my first 2 they took the baby back to the nursery at night and brought the baby back when they needed to eat. I received a letter about their new rooming in policy and now the baby can sleep overnight with you but it didnt say whether you still had the option to send the baby back if you want to. I like sending them back and getting some actual sleep!

I gave birth in August and they allowed (encouraged) the baby to sleep with you. I had a c-section and was not breast feeding, I sent her back every night and they brought her to me around 7am every morning. It's not mandatory that you keep the baby in the room with you. They also allow the baby to be out during visiting hours, when I had my first in 2011 she had to go in the nursery during visiting hours. All in all, I had a great stay. Laurie the night nurse is amazing!

Re: St Charles
I gave birth there last May and they took my daughter to the nursery overnight and only brought her in to nurse.
The 2nd night I asked if she could stay with us in the room and the nurse just looked at me and said "oh honey, you don't wanna do that...this is your last chance to get some sleep!" and just walked out of the room.
I was offended and irritated but once we got home I understood completely.
