Got a house!!
Wow hings change quickly! Saw a house Saturday, made an offer that night. They accepted our offer Sunday, had inspection Wednesday and all was excellent! Signed all mortgage papers this morning at bank and signed contracts this afternoon with lawyer!!! Shooting to be in 30-40 days!!

 Congrats!! We are in contract as well, we were told 30-45 days from signing of contract to closing date.. We signed contracts 2 weeks ago and our file JUST went to underwriting at Bethpage FCU yesterday. Keeping fingers crossed for a quick closing!!

Congrats too!! Wells Fargo said they sent to processing..not sure what that means but OK!

in Merrick Woods??? I love North Merrick. I used to live there. beautiful neighborhood and great schools! Plus we're neighbors

I dont think it is Merrick Woods?? It is between sunrise and Southern state.
Just got an email from bank that the paperwork is going to underwriting today! Yippee!

is it east of merrick ave or west? i used to live in Merrick Manor. It's east of merrick ave, behind sacred heart church. it's a beautiful neighborhood!

I wonder if its the same house we looked at - we actually bid on a house in North Merrick but the seller didn't want to budge 5K below his asking price so we walked. It was a flipped house near Frederick Ave, wish I could remember the street- we saw SO many houses in that section (north of Sunrise, south of SSP). We fell in love w/ a house on Chapin St but the seller had multiple C/O issues and despite cutting the price to 40K below asking, we had to walk away because we needed a fast closing date (seller opted to remove the house from the market and now its not for sale..). We ended up buying in North Bellmore - north of SSP by East Meadow border.
Congrats and doesn't it feel good to just be done!? It is so nice not to run to Open Houses every weekend now.

We already said we are never moving again!! This whole process is exhausting!! We put a bid on one in N Bellmore (coral court) but they wouldn't meet us on it! This house was FSBO and we really clicked with him and loved the house.

We saw a house in Coral Ct too! the Hi-Ranch with the pretty teal carpet in the living room? The one priced at 539K? We would have made an offer on it but that street has no gas service and we would pay a fortune to convert (Nat Grid charges $ 101 per feet to get the gas line into the house). It sucks how inventory is so low - we were elated when the house in N.Bellmore came up and technically didn't come onto MLS until the day after we saw it so we were able bid on it the same day and seller needed to get a quick buyer because theres a tenant in the house (who coincidentally is also buying a house in Suffolk county with a closing date of early April). If not for that, we could have faced another bidding war as the house is in mint condition, renovated, gas heat, and on a dead end street.

It is just west of Merrick Ave. The neighborhood is gorgeous! So peaceful.

Not that one..that is a bit above our pay grade!!  It was the yellow one, so cute on the outside but i nside they had made it two houses!! With an apt upstairs.

I think it depends on who you get there! I have a great person and went to there office to get it all done ASAP!

Congrats!!! Woo! Pray for a quick closing ours was dragged out 4 months and the bank was a pain and took FOREVER!! It took 3 weeks just for an underwriter to review!
