Sanibel Island
I love Sanibel. I stayed at the Sanibel Inn. It's nothing fancy, but was very clean and the room was pretty recently redone (although I was there about 6 years ago or so). The rooms have a small kitchenette. They have bicycles to "rent", that I road all over the island. There is a nature preserve (J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge), that I bicycled through. Also did a dolphin watch boat trip. Walking the beach for shells is a popular thing too. It was so peaceful and relaxing there - loved it!

Sanibel Island
Another option is renting a home in Cape Coral or Fort Myers. I love Sanibel and Captiva!!! Check out Paradise Island Adventures Sealife Tour!
