Book suggestions for first grade
I have to read a book to the class for my daughter's birthday. Can anyone suggestions something? Preferably something short since there wont be much time.

Book suggestions for first grade
I read "The Book with No Pictures" by BJ Novak to my son's class for his birthday and they loved it.
He also really likes Mo Willems "We are in a Book" (the Elephant and Piggie Series).
ETA: He's in K.

ITA with above. Love those books. When I read last year to DS's Kindergarten class I did "don't let the pigeon ride the bus" and the kids had to yell "No!" to the pigeon.

Book suggestions for first grade
Todd Parr also has some good ones - my son did an author study this year on Mo Willems and Todd Parr so we've been reading a lot of them (he had read all of the Pigeon ones in class though).
His favorite Todd Parr is the Underwear Book.
The Day The Crayons Quit and the Day the Crayons Came Home are cute as well.

Actually.... I'd say take a classic book!
It may be the only exposure the kids in the class get to the book!
I'm talking on the level of Ferdinand the bull, etc.

LOVE that book!! And the "Book With No Pictures". I've read both to my DD's classes and they loved them too!! Also, "A Fine, Fine School" is very cute, the kids love the repetition in the story.
