White Party
We are going away in June on a trip with hubbys company. They are hosting a "white party" on the lawn by the water. I bought a white skirt. Do I need to wear a solid white shirt too or could I add color? Also hubby isn't jnto wearing white dress shorts or pants. Can he go khaki with white shirt?

I have a white sundress I may accessorize with color. I will get DH white pants and top. Figured it's only once and fun to stick to the theme. Plus, everyone will be in white.

I think you are supposed to wear all white. But I hate the thought of it. Like a bunch of nurses from the 70s congregating. I'd feel silly in all white.

A friend of mine became an author, wrote a book and threw herself a signing party last summer. It was an all white party, I almost wore a splash of color and so glad I didn't. Every one wore all white, tops, bottoms, dresses etc, it was soo much fun.

Went to one and wore a white dress but added a light tan skinny belt to break it up just a little. I was happy with that

I went to one last year. I wore all white, but DH wore khakis and a white shirt and it was fine - a couple of guys were wearing the same.

I've been to a few. The first I wore white pants and a colored top, which apparently was WRONG. I was basically the only person not in all white and I looked like an idiot. As far as your DH, I think a guy could get away with light khaki shorts. I find that a white or off white dress for me is the easiest way to do this without feeling like Mr. Softee.

I've been to a few white parties and none of the guys wore all white. They all wore white shirts with some other color bottoms (khakis, jeans etc)

I've got a white skirt but need to find a top to go with it or white capris & tank.
I got hubby white shorts but I'm thinking I'll go the khaki route bc he'll never wear the white shorts again & will not do the all white

Id say all white for you, but DH khakis. I think my DH would look like a tool in a white top and shorts. Lol! When we cruise they have a white party night and most guys wear jeans or khakis and white tops. Women are usually in all white sundresses though there are plenty of colored pashminas and accessories.

Yep I agree.
I love when people throw parties and make it a hardship for you to attend.
Yeah ,go out and buy white shorts that he'll look like a toolbag in andNEVER wear again in order to attend this party.

It's exactly what we did today. I'm returning the white ones I had bought him bc he'll never wear them

OMG our husbands fought us tooth and nail... I actually had to go out and buy him white cargo shorts and he wore a white polo on top. They made golf club and towel boy jokes the whole time LOL
