Should I color my hair our wait till the fall?
I'm scheduled for a single process but I'm thinking it's silly considering I'll be swimming and at the beach.

I would but I'm blonde and never get my hair wet at either. So I'm no help.

Same.
I never put my head underwater. I wear it up and just keep my head above water in the pool

I get highlights and usually try to not get it done over the summer for that reason. I had my highlights done in early May and have a wedding in mid-Sept, so I'm going to try to hold out til Labor Day. Can you do some sort of root touch up til after the summer?

I get my hair colored in the summer - it looks horrible if I don't. I've never had much of an issue in the pool (I have dark brown hair) but, like the PPs - I don't put my head under water that often.

I do single process brunette to cover my very gray hair.
I still color during the summer (roots !). When I am at the pool or the beach, I soak my hair with plain water and if I remember, run a little conditioner thru it and then put it up. If I go underwater then I rinse it once I get out of the water.
It usually lightens up a bit, like natural highlights. Doesn't bug me.

I do because I'm blonde and my roots would be cray. But I almost never go under water and always wear a hat. I use purple shampoo to retain the color too.
