Pediatric gastroenterologist recs - spinoff to my last post
Ok, so now I know I definitely need to take DD to see a ped. Gastro.
I have heard good things about the office with Drs. Gold and Guevarra.
I have heard of Dr. Morganstern.
Anyone have experience with these doctors, or any other doctors you would recommend?
I do hope that they don't just prescribe medication (although sometimes that is necessary and beneficial and the best thing, I know)... I hope we can help DD with diet, etc.
TIA!

I recommend Dr. Guevarra. The other doctors in that practice are supposed to be good too though. My DS was screaming his head off at one appointment and I was surprised that Dr. Guevarra called me personally later on to go over what was discussed just in case anything was missed while we were at the office (and my son was loud). I thought that was really great of him.

Love Dr. Gold! He was down to earth, and really listens to the moms. When I wasn't crazy about his recommendation, he worked with me to try something different, he took a great deal of time to explain stuff, and his rationale for his recommendations, and really wants to work WITH you rather than simply dictating what is going to happen. All 3 of mine went to him, and with 2 of them, he actually said that they were fine and didn't need any treatment...and explained why.

My kids have seen a lot of doctors, Dr. Gold is by far the best doctor we have met. He really took the time to explain everything and allow us to be there as long as we needed to get our questions answered. I wish he could be my doctor!
