Teeth sealant
When I took my kids to the dentist, he mentioned having them set their teeth sealed to prevent cavities. Is this something I should do? What is it . Does anyone have any experience with it?

Teeth sealant
Yes. I have it on all my teeth and have since the late 80s. It is to prevent cavities. And at the age of 43 I have only ever had 2.

Re: Teeth sealant
Yes I had it done as a kid and then I had it done on my wisdom teeth beelive it or not because they all came in normally and I didn't want to have them out and the dentist suggested it to prevent cavities. Who knows, but I didn't have to pay so whatever.
They didn't mention it for my DD yet- I think they did a fluoride treatment maybe? I know they said she couldn't eat for an hour after- not sure that was sealants or a fluoride treatment

Teeth sealant
My DD had it done at 2.5 to all of her molars. It's a liquid that gets "painted" on to the teeth and then hardens. It's supposed to prevent cavities. Her dentist said once her permanent teeth come in then they'll seal those too. I had terrible cavities as a kid so I'm hoping this helps her.
