Pre-k/ kindergarten teaching position
I would love some help trying to find out the starting salary of a private school pre-k or kindergarten teacher salary? I'm ready to look for work and would like to work at a private school or Montessori that follows the public school calendar for days off. Any advice on getting started is welcome! Thanks!

Re: Pre-k/ kindergarten teaching position
If you are looking for private schools only, I suggest applying through the Diocese. You may not get your choice of grade level though. You could try private pre/Kindergartens run through churches as well. They don't pay much and most want certified teachers.

At max, in a private school setting, it will probably pay $30K and that's generous. It may be difficult to find a private school that follows the public school calendar because some may not have off for Election Day or other religious holidays.

There is a new school opening out east called East End Christian Academy. I know they are hiring but their salary is 25,000 a year and no benefits.
