Not a good update
Hi ladies,
Thank you for all your support and prayers. I didn't get good news today. My beta is extremely low. It's a 9.8 and a 5 is negative. They told me to stop all my meds. I can't believe I'm loosing two embryos. I just had a blighted ovrum in May and now this.
Has anyone had any experience with having a really low beta and then it rising? Probably not right.
I'm sick to my stomach.

Re: Not a good update
Unfortunately; I know all too well what that feels like and I'm terribly sorry.
After all these years; I wish I knew why this happens to us. I can't fathom it sometimes.
Do you happen to have any frozen for an FET?
Sending hugs your way!

I'm so sorry . Unfortunately, I haven't had a positive outcome with a beta starting very low. Sending many prayers and good thoughts your way. It's so overwhelming and disheartening. I hope you can continue to find strength and support from us over here and try again when you are ready!

I don't want to give you false hope but my last IUI my first beta was a 9. And he's laying right next to me because we just woke up from a two hour nap. He's a happy and healthy 6 month old.

Thank you. But I'm bleeding. Did you bleed with it? And then everything was okay?

Re: Not a good update
I'm so sorry.
I know what it's like to have a double embryo transfer and get a bfn. For me, it helps to keep in mind that sometimes transfers don't work for no reason at all and that there are plenty of women who've had to do several transfers to have a child.

Re: Not a good update
Thank you for all your support, and prayers. I was very upset last night and cried the hardest I ever have. But I can't give up. I just can't. I am thinking of using a different practice. Does anyone have suggestions? The problem is I teach in port Jeff, and so I would need to go to a RE that's close to that area, or smithtown the farthest before school. I'm not completely done with LIIVF just yet. I'm going to meet with my doctor on September 7th to have a discussion first.
Thank you all again. This is so hard but to have he support of so many it truly is amazing. Thank you all!

Not a good update
I'm so sorry your going through this I don't have a recommendation for the area- I live in port Jeff sta. But went to Gold Coast IVF in Woodbury and had nothing but an amazing experience. If I ever decide to get pregnant after this I will 100% go back without hesitation. My coworker also went to Gold Coast with little to no hope of becoming pregnant due to an issue she has (I forget what it's called?) and she conceived her first IVF cycle with Gold Coast as well and is 25 weeks currently. Just remember this isn't the end of the road and it can take many cycles to get pregnant.
Does LIIVF do a peer review on your cycle?

Re: Not a good update
This doctor only talks to me about options moving forward. And when I ask why does this keep happening, he just says I'm sorry these things happen.

I am so sorry this happened to you. Infertility is so hard and people who haven't gone through it don't understand always. I'm so sorry you have no answers. Have you done genetic testing in the embryos? Sending lots of hugs your way!

Re: Not a good update
I too am seeing Dr. Palter at Gold Coast IVF. My DD is almost 3 and she was conceived via IUI and we are now trying for baby #2 and my FET is Fri. The office is wonderful from the front desk staff to the nurses and of course, Dr. P. If you decide to switch practices, I highly recommend Gold Coast. Btw, I am very sorry you are going through this. I know how you feel. I've experienced this kind of loss too.

Not a good update
I also wanted to add- not sure if you enjoy reading but I read 2 books this year before my first cycle that I really enjoyed: Waiting for Daisy by Peggy Orenstein The other- and I'm not sure if you are Catholic but if you are I enjoyed: It's Ok to Cry by Malcolm Cameron. I found that while not my favorite book I did find it calming

Re: Not a good update
Maybe an office will monitor in the afternoons? Don't know if any Suffolk office offer that.
My new office In Brooklyn allows afternoon monitoring so if I can't get there in the morning bc I live/work in Nassau, I can do monitoring after work.
