Blighted ovum?
So we had our first sono yesterday and it wasn't great. There was nothing in the sac  the tech was also awful and didn't wait for DH ao I had to find out by myself because she said if I didn't go in she wouldn't be able to see me at all. Doctor was encouraged that there is a sac and wants me to come back on the 22nd to see if a baby develops. I feel so sad and have been wracking my brains to see if my dates are off but I really don't think so. The next 10 days are gonna be torture

I'm sorry that you had to go through that, especially by yourself. If your Dr is hopeful then I think you should try and focus on that. I don't have experience with this exact situation but I have a very early miscarriage a few yrs back. It was torture waiting to have another so no.

How far along are you? I think it's encouraging that the doctor didn't say it was bad. Hopefully it's just too early to see anything?

I should be 9w today given my LMP. I am measuring 6w4d and there was a sac and fetal pole.

Oh, I think they should be able to see something more by now if you are really 9 weeks.
But if they saw a fetal pole, maybe your dates are off? That's what they saw at my 5 to 6 week sonograms. A sac and fetal pole.

Could it be the dates are off? My 6 week were sac and fetal pole. Hope the next 10 days are quick!! So sorry you are going through this!

Maybe you ovulated late for some reason this past month? That can skew dates. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you for positive news!

I am so sorry. I went through the exact same thing. The waiting was absolutely torture but I just knew in my heart that my dates were not off and I was going to get bad news. I pray that your outcome is different than mine!

I literally just went through this and had to have a D and C in May to take the empty sac out as it was not passing naturally. It's horrible and I hope and pray you will be okay. prayers that you get good positive news!

When you got your bfp on 7/8, was it on a test or was it at the dr- blood test?

When you got your bfp on 7/8, was it on a test or was it at the dr- blood test?
It was the day of my surgery, 7/8, just a pee test at the hospital. More pee tests over the weekend, HCG done Monday with JL and then repeated, all was rising perfectly. I guess my body thinks I am pregnant but the embryo never formed. I've read some stories about people who had tilted uteruses and the baby was hiding, late ovulation, etc. Just not so optimisitc and hate the waiting game.

crashing-- i had a similiar situation. had to go back again ten days later, and then we saw a heart beat. now have a healthy dc. prayers momma, i know the waiting game is hard. praying for a good outcome for you.

Still nothing to report - no spotting which is a good sign I suppose. I still feel naseous and my boobs are still big and sore. Hoping I can make it safely to next Monday and get good news. After doing a lot of research I learned that my cycles are actually on the longer side (35/36 days) and my BFP in the hospital may have been on the very early side. So I am thinking there is maybe a small chance my dates really ARE off. Either way I am mentally preparing for either outcome. Thanks for the positive thoughts !

I had the same exact thing happen. I went and was supposed to be 8 weeks along and was only measuring 6 weeks. They told me blighted oveum. I went back and we saw a baby but couldn't get a clear heartbeat. They told me he wouldn't make it because the heartbeat was too slow. Two weeks later there he was nice and strong. My son was born on 11/10 at 10lbs. 8oz. Good luck Mama! Hang in there!
