Baby shower invite wording
So my sisters due with her first at the end of November. Her shower is gonna be in October. My mom and I put "a baby shower honoring kate and James" on the invite. Thinking, it's his baby too HAHA I'm the rsvp girl and one of her friends just RSVPd and said "just double checking it's girls only, since James name was on the invite, it was confusing" Is it really that weird that we had both names on there??? This is really the first baby showering actually thrown, so. It sure

Baby shower invite eorfing
Personally I wouldn't put the man's name on the invite but you are right, it's his baby too. If only one of her friends commented about that, I wouldn't worry too much about it. When people RSVP you can just state something like "GREAT! Can't wait for 'ladies who lunch'"! I think it's nice that you put his name on the invite.

Baby shower invite eorfing
I've never seen a man's name on the shower invite unless it's a coed shower so I think it's legit question.

I've only seen the girl's name usually, but wouldn't think it's coed. I go by who the invite is addressed to.

Baby shower invite wording
The only time I have seen the father to be's name on a shower invite was for a co-ed shower. I think it is sweet you put both names On the invitation but it is not the norm.

I agree. It sounds like he'll be there too which would make it coed. I'd be confused

Re: Baby shower invite wording
I recently went to a baby shower where the dad's name was on the invite too. It was not a co-Ed shower but the dad-to-be did stay at the shower, and helped open the gifts. I assumed it was not co-ed as the invite was addressed to me only..

I agree. I don't think it's that unusual that you included his name on the invite, I think it's really nice.

Re: Baby shower invite wording
If I saw the husband's name I'd wonder the same. Typically for showers I only see the girl's name.
