appeal for declined bus stop change request

Why do you want the stop changed?

My neighbors and I have had our bus stops changed a few times over the years. We've never had a request denied.
In all cases, the stop changes were requested due to safety concerns. My neighborhood has some steep hills and some sharp, blind curves.

The five families at the stop all contacted transportation individually to make request. I think it makes the change easier if all of the parents agree to the new stop. The change only meant that the driver would need to stop about 200 feet past original stop.

Ok, this doesn't make sense to me. my neighbor 2 houses down and another neighbor 2 houses up the block successfully had their stop changed to be right in front of their houses. Transportation department said no because I'm on a blind turn and they said there is not enough time for the bus to stop in time (our driveway is about 200 ft from the turn). I asked if they can stop 400 feet from the turn in front of my neighbor's house and they said no. We can't walk to the stop because we are on a bus street with no sidewalk and barely enough shoulder for 1 person to walk. They told me to drive to the stop and I'm afraid I can't even park on that narrow street around the corner when there's snow on the shoulder. By the way, over the summer the bus did stop right in front of my house and they said it was clearly a mistake. This is very frustrating knowing they don't care about safety at all. They said it's the parent's responsibility to get their children to the bus stop. What else can I do?

Can you drive your child directly to school?

That's what I do, but for a multitude of reasons. Our stop is on a busy corner, and people drive like lunatics. AND the house the stop is at, the people are A$$holes and turn their sprinklers on the kids so they HAVE to stand in the street.

Your bus is stopping 2 doors down?
Is this your first year on the bus?
How's your relationship with the bus driver?
Can you unofficially change the stop?

Our stop is 1 house away... But the bus stops at the driveways of 3 houses in a row (the first parent takes time, but the 2 of us that get unofficial driveway pickup are sure the kid is at the bottom of the driveway before bus comes so it is a smooth and easy stop).
