Daycare Gift Question
I know it's only October 2, but i'm already thinking about the holidays... specifically gifts I can purchase ahead of time.
For those with kids in daycare, how much is an appropriate gift to give the main teacher? At my son's school, he has one main teacher and a few floaters... what should we be spending?

Daycare Gift Question
I usually give between $40 and $60 to the main and $20 to the floaters. Last year I did a travel coffee mug from kohls stuffed with candy and money.

Daycare Gift Question
My husband calls me an over gifter (lol) but I really love my DDs daycare and teachers. So usually between $75.00-$100.00 for the main teacher, $50.00-$75.00 for the assistant teacher and $25.00 or $20.00 to the floaters (depending on how often they are there). I also give $25.00- $35.00 to the girl who handles the front desk and all our questions, problems, paperwork etc...
If I am not giving cash then I have also done gift cards to amazon, target or dunkin donuts.

Daycare Gift Question
For the main teacher, I give at least $50 cash. For the assistants, I used to not give much since they rotated a lot. This year, he's had the same one for like 10 months so I'll give her at least $25. Regular floaters, who I see with my DS, I give like 5-10 gift card.

Daycare Gift Question
For the main teacher, I do a $50 giftcard. For the AM and PM assistants that are regularly assigned to the room, I do $25 giftcards and for all the other floater helpers, I buy small boxes/bags of Ghirardeli or Lindt chocolate (Century 21 and Home Goods have great prices on this kind of gourmet stuff). I wait to buy the giftcards until they are on sale (no activation fee) at CVS/Walgreens. The last few years its been AmEx cards via CVS.

Daycare Gift Question
Is cash the norm? That's what I was planning to do, but are they allowed to accept cash gifts?

Re: Daycare Gift Question
My DD goes to a home daycare, thinking I am going to do $50 Target GC to the two co-owners and $40 for the assistant that always seems to be there. I would do more if I could.

I always did GC's. I just felt weird doing cash.

Re: Daycare Gift Question
We always do Amazon gift cards. We give the same amount to main teachers and assistants, usually $30 but my kids only go 3 days a week.

Re: Daycare Gift Question
For the holidays I usually do a gift set from Bath & Body Works. Around $25-30 for the head teachers and $20-25 for assistants.
I give GCs at the end of the year.
