Floortime
Has anyone tried this? If so, do you have a therapist you could recommend. Looking into it for my son.

Floor time only currently has emerging evidence and is not an evidence based practice effective to use with those with autism, therefore, you will not find a BCBA to provide the intervention, therefore I wouldn't agree with pursuing the intervention, however, I understand as a parent looking for options. I'm not sure of your sons diagnosis or why you would be looking for the therapy, however, Dr. Tippy is a psychologist, I believe his practice is in oyster bay and he has done research on floor time and would likely be your best bet.

You won't find BCBAs providing the intervention because a BCBA isn't interested in providing Floortime. As an aside, BCBAs are also not the only people who are highly qualified to work with children who has ASD.
OP- check out The Rebecca School in NYC. Profectum.org, as well as ICDL.com to find qualified professionals. Also, please don't believe those who say that DIR/Floortime isn't evidenced based.
I am an SLP who is also certified in DIR. I absolutely love relationship based therapies. DIR has absolutely changed my whole perspective and approach to treatment.
