DOE GHI rider?
Making the switch to GHI -- is the 190.00 per pay period additional rider worth it? I can't find any info about what it covers, how to use it, etc.
THANKS!

DOE GHI rider?
I'm also switching and confused about what exactly the rider provides. I think it provides better out of network coverage if you use it. I'm kind of nervous because we've always been on my DHs insurance which was great with low co-pays. But he unfortunately lost his job end of August so we have to go on the city insurance plan for now. Hopefully something comes in for him before the end of open enrollment.

DOE GHI rider?
wait when did the rider go up that high?? i thought i was paying like $7.50 a pay period for it? If that is it, do it..it does give you out of network coverage that I know has helped me more than a few times

Re: DOE GHI rider?
i called ghi and they said that the rider covers up to 75% more of oon coverage and is for catastrophic life events -- surgery, anesthesia, child birth, chemo, radiation, etc.
my hip rider is only 7.50 for the family, I can't understand why ghi's is so expensive.

UMM yeah I only pay around $8 for the rider for GHI. I have no idea where the $190 came from. It is a great thing to have but I haven't received any notice that it is going that high.

I just looked it up. Fo the GHI-CBP/EBCBS Family plan semi monthly the rider is $8.13.
