disney question - free dining??
DH just told me that we might be able to do a last-minute trip to Disney soon. Any chance there is a way to snag the free dining promo that they were offering??? that would really be the kicker to go!

Re: disney question - free dining??
The PP are correct but I wanted to add that it still might make sense to go.
Free dining is really NOT free; it's only when you pay full price for the hotel. I actually calculated it once where we were actually better off with the discount, not the free dining.
There could still be a discount for the hotel depending on when the offer codes expired. You might as well check it out.

SO true!! definitely do the math! depending on your family size, how much you tend to eat, what disney hotel you want to stay at, etc... the "Free" dining might not be a great deal. bc there are pretty much always some kind of discount for the hotel rooms... so that a lot of times can save your more than the free dining will. ALSO i'm pretty sure you have to have the park hopper tickets to get the "free" dining, too- which costs extra $$$ (unless you were gonna get those anyway...) A lot of things to think about. Do you want to do a lot of character meals? ( those are $$$$) are you big eaters? ( the portions on a lot of the stuff are big enough to split... so that can save you money, too) we went in august, and could have gotten the "Free" dining. but we went with the room discount and stayed at one of the "Deluxe" hotels ( Polynesian). its just me, DH and our 5 year old. the kid eats like a bird HAHA so we hardly bought him his own meal when we did the quick services places, and i packed a bunch of snacks and easy lunches for him too. So even with doing like 4 $$$ character meals, we still came out ahead with doing the room discount instead of the "Free" dining. NOW if we had like 4 kids and they were all big eaters, the "free" dining would have made more sense...
