Transfer is done...
So we had our 5dt yesterday. I was kinda freaking out since I never got a call on day 3 but was told that they no longer check the embryos on day 3 which is perplexing given that there are women who need to transfer on day 3 but anyway. I get a call from Dr. Saketos on our way in and I was thinking the worst...she just wanted to see how I was feeling and if I was up for the transfer. I said yes and she said that we had several blasts already and we are good to go. She was afraid of my hyperstimming given that I had 29 eggs retrieved and my blood pressure is high as well.
We get to the RE and she wants to take my BP again just to make sure that we are ok to transfer and lo and behold its high. I was freaking out that she would cancel. I calmed down as much as I could and got it down to a lower level but I was almost having an anxiety attack over this.
Based on my potential OHSS still and my BP issues she recommended only transferring 1 due to the high risk of twins. I wanted to transfer 2 but in the end I was convinced. My first IVF cycle failed with a SET so I just thought to myself this will be another failure like the last time.
The transfer went smoothly and I have been eating my pineapple core. Now the wait starts until I can test...I am trying to have as much hope & faith as I can but its hard...

How many embies do you have left in total?
If you wouldn't have minded twins, why did the Dr talk you out of it? I'm a little confused on that?

I agree. Why did they talk you out of it.
But i'm happy that everything went smoothly!! Hope the 2ww is quick!! My transfer is today, we are doing a day 3 transfer.

My first ivf cycle same thing happened to me that they told me to only put 1 back due to over stimulation.

Given everything you've been through, I think transferring one was totally the way to go here. Two is high risk as it is, then add that on top of your already high risk situation....... I can completely understand the suggestion to transfer one.
I'm so hopeful for you!! I hope the wait goes quickly!

A lot of REs will only transfer one embie now because their goal is to get you pregnant with a singleton.

Transfer is done...
I already have a 2.5 yr old son so she knows we only want 1 more. I am high risk due to this recent hypertension issue plus given that we have more embryos to work with for a FET she thought it was best to do a SET.
They froze two yesterday and I have another 6-7 that are in the early blast stage that will likely be frozen as well.
