Best simple video camera
I'm looking for a super simple (idiot-proof) easy home video camera. Nothing fancy. Just to video my kids. I know years ago they used to make a flip camera but I don't think they make that anymore. Was looking at the go pro but don't think that is for my needs (looks like it's for ppl that bike, hike, etc.)
I have a video camera that the lens doesn't fully close anymore (but it works), but the memory has been full so I haven't been able to use it. I have been begging DH for 6 months to please fix it (according to him we just needed a new memory card and he was going to upload the videos on it-well still waiting on that to happen and now I've missed Christmas). We got into a big fight about it today (me nagging him again to please do it).
I'm done. I will just get something super simple that I can do myself. Am I the only one that misses the good ol days with the video cartridges in the cameras? I felt like then we used to actually watch the videos!

Best simple video camera
Just checked best buy yesterday. They had a couple of camcorders. I haven't done a ton of research yet. The rep said that the Sony ones take photos as well.
