Going through my third miscarriage
Started bleeding last night and dr confirmed the hcg levels are not doubling. This is my third miscarriage. I had two before my son and now this. In so afraid. I love my son more than life itself. What if I can't give him a sibling. 3 miscarriages. The first two were because of my thyroid but it's under control now so I don't know if it's just a fluke or something is wrong. I want to go back to a reproductive endocrinologist. I just can't believe this happened again.

Going through my third miscarriage
I'm so sorry to hear this. I suffered one in December and had a loss at 27 weeks two years ago (in December as well). I thought the same way you did...that I would never be able to give my son a sibling. But 6-7 months after I had my loss, I became pregnant again and now have a beautiful 9 month old boy. There is light at the end of the tunnel and I help you get the answers you are looking for.

Re: Going through my third miscarriage
I am going through this as well. It's my 8th loss, but first one since having my DS. We've been so far removed from this world that I "forgot" for lack of better words how awful it is. I also definitely felt naive in thinking we wouldn't have issues this time around. It's really so hard and not something anyone who hasn't been through it can understand.

I remember you from when I was pregnant with my son. I think your son is a few months younger than mine. I remember being so happy when you finally got your baby!!!! I'm sorry you're going through this again. I can't even imagine going through it 8 times. Are you going back to a specialist? Still waiting on a phone call from doctor to go over next steps. Not sure if I want another d and c and the pill almost killed me the first time. Might let nature take its course and then see the reproductive endo again.

Re: Going through my third miscarriage
It is so awful, I'm sorry you are going through this again.
I have had a total of four losses. Two chemicals in a row after my first DS, then after my second DS last year, two eight-week losses in a row. It was like a deja vu nightmare. One I had a D&C and the other happened naturally. If you can go naturally, I preferred it that way and it was not too painful physically.
I thought for sure I could never carry another baby, but we gave it one last shot. Despite some early bleeding which nearly killed me, my two month old DD is sleeping next to me now.
In all likelihood, this loss is a fluke and though you might want to check it out, I don't think it should stop you from trying again when you're ready.

It's so hard... and having been through it already it almost feels like we've paid our dues and the next time should be easy. I had a d&c for this most recent loss because I was 9 weeks, so didn't have much of a choice. I'll say that on the plus side (ugh for lack of better words..) it brings closure to everything much quicker. I mean- physical closure. You can then move on emotionally on your own terms. Either way, it's just awful being in this position.
I hope you were able to speak to your doctor today and have some sort of plan.
