Kidville vs. The Little Gym
Does anyone have any feedback about the pros and cons between the two? We have a Kidville membership, but my son is right at the age where he is transitioning 2 naps (morning and afternoon) to 1 nap mid-day. So figuring out an appropriate class age-wise and timing-wise has been tough for the past few weeks and we have missed some classes as a result. It seems when he was still napping twice a day, all the classes for his age group were during his nap times, etc. Anyway, so now I am looking into different alternatives... TIA

Re: Kidville vs. The Little Gym
Depends on the location. I found the kidville we used to go to had lots of young inexperienced people leading the class. If I had to choose, I'd say Little Gym by a mile.. though my DS was never so into that either and much prefers our art and music classes- but as a parent I felt at least for the locations we went to, Little Gym was much better. The one thing I'll give Kidville is that they were clean.

I like Kidville but i think Little Gym is different in some aspects. Could you sit in on a class to see if you son likes it better at little Gym?

I really love Kidville. Wasn't a huge fan of Little Gym. So many pple do tho so I think you should do a trial at each.

Re: Kidville vs. The Little Gym
I agree that you should trial each. I found the instructors at kidville more concerned about just getting everyone through the hour, and spent 0 time with my child (they didn't even know my daughters name by the end), whereas at little gym, they seemed more invested in developing whatever the skill was for that week and spending time with each child. They were very development-focused and relationship-focused. But I know a lot of people prefer kidville. Experiences may also vary location by location. We used merrick tlg.

Re: Kidville vs. The Little Gym
I go to the Little Gym in Merrick and we love it. My son is 7 months so we are still in the youngest group but I feel like my son is crawling and standing because of some of the things that we learned at the Little gym. I believe our instructor is either the owner or Manager , he's wonderful and very knowledgeable about children and their development.
