FLU spinoff
Did anyone opt not to take tamiflu and get the flu from their child? My daughter was diagnosed Monday with symptoms starting Sunday. So far I feel ok. But now my son is showing symptoms. What are the odds I dodge this?

Both my DS and DD had it and I luckily didn't get it. Neither did my 1 yo or DH. I wasn't offered Tamilfu as a preventative measure. We all did end up with colds but not the flu.

Re: FLU spinoff
Background: I am married and have 3 kids. I got the flu (presumably from work) and DD#2 got it a few days later. My DH and 2 other DDs did not. No flu shots, no tamiflu. We do take Elderberry syrup and used a homeopathic treatment for the flu (Oscillococcinum).

Re: FLU spinoff
Both my DDs (who got the flu shot BTW) had the flu a few weeks ago and DH and I did NOT take Tamiflu and neither one of us got the flu. DH & I did not get the flu shot either...
Hope everyone is better soon!
ETA: I took Oscillococcinum and DH was taking Emergen-C to prevent it

I didn't get the flu shot until a few days before they got sick so it wasn't effective yet. Everyone else had the shot and ds and dd still got the flu.
I thought for sure I would get it. I had a lot of stress going on so the doctor said my immunity would be low and I would likely get it. I've had a cold for over a week so I think my body fought it off.

All three of my kids had it and both DH and I dodged it, we didn't take tamiflu. We started taking elderberry tablets as soon as my DD was diagnosed. She was the first to get it. I did feel like my body was fighting something. I had little body aches here and there and they would go away with Tylenol but never got a fever or anything.
