Costco vs Bjs
Which one is better? I'm looking for the best place for fruits, veggies, meat, yogurt and snacks for the kids. I used to belong to Bjs but just want some opinions before I join again.

Costco vs Bjs
We had both for a while, we stayed with Costco. Every time I was in Bjs I felt like I was in a warehouse of Costco rejects. Costco is constantly getting more and more organic options and I love that.

Thanks! I'm looking for organic too. My kids go through snacks, yogurt and fruits so fast that I just can't keep up. I would also like to save some money.

Costco vs Bjs
We have both but prefer Costco, especially for fruits and veggies. Costco always has much more types of fruits and veggies to choose from, more in stock overall, and everything is much better quality and fresher. With BJs, a lot of the fruit and veggies already look like they're rotting in the store, and they don't have nearly as much selection as Costco - not at the one in Islandia, anyway. Maybe the others are better, I don't know. The only thing I like about bjs is that they accept coupons, which Costco doesn't.

Re: Costco vs Bjs
We prefer and shop at BJ's, use their credit card at the BJ's gas stations.
I don't buy fruit and veggies there, I find the quality to be meh. Get better quality at Shop Rite or Stew Leonards.

Costco vs Bjs
I guess I prefer Costco to BJ's but it is because of location, nothing else. When it comes to fruits and veggies, I am no longer buying them at either. I bought a bag of onions at Costco last month and every onion I sliced into was rotting on the inside. Rotting. Same with peppers. I was using the stuff the day after I bought it. I've been having this issue for awhile and now I am just disgusted so I will not be buying it from them again. And I know I could return it but I was prepping for a party and the last thing I wanted to do was run out to Costco to return their rotten veggies to have to then go to another store.

We've had memberships to both for many years and if I had to choose, it would be Costco. I feel their quality is better for food and I love the seasonal products. The only thing I would miss about the BJ's membership is the gas station.

That's how I felt about BJs. I would buy fruit and a day or two later, it would rot. It might initially be cheaper, but then we need to throw out more than half of it.

Re: Costco vs Bjs
We belong to both- but we rarely use Costco.
I like BJs because:
Express lines- if you have a few items you aren't standing on line with people who are stocking up for the Apocalypse.
Self check out- big fan
They used to take more credit cards and take debit - not sure if Costco now takes debit and all credit cards too but years ago they only took American Express and/or Discover- can't recall
Better meat
Better overall selection IMO
However, Costco has much better clothing type items They sometimes sell Hunter rain boots, I got a great pair of Khombu snow boots there for like $40, they have really nice fake Uggs. They actually have some name brand clothing and a better selection than BJs
But for our monthly shopping- we prefer BJs

Re: Costco vs Bjs
I found them mostly comparable- I like the Berkley & Jensen products. Honestly, I chose BJs because where I live, the Costco parking lot is a disaster.
