Safe-T Swim
Anyone here take their child to Safe-T Swim? I just signed up DD for lessons and they are telling me that she is required to wear two reusable swim diapers. Is this really the case? Do they check?

Safe-T Swim
i took my little ones to Safe-T-swim and they wore a regular disposal swim diaper with a reusable swim diaper over it (the kind they sell there). i don't know if they ever checked but i get why they require it. if a child has an accident, they have to clear the pool and cancel lessons for a certain amount of time the rest of the day (i've gotten the call that my son's lessons were cancelled due to another child having an accident). not fun to reschedule / make up.

Re: Safe-T Swim
That is their policy, and I don't know that they check really, but why would you not do it?
If your kid leaks poop in the pool you're messing up everyone's week, that's kinda messed up if you're not doing what you can do avoid it.
It's not a big deal to put the diapers on, really. Mine wears a reusable swim diaper and the bathing suit with the built in diaper. I bought them there, they weren't too expensive.

We did the same as above- reusable over the disposable.

Re: Safe-T Swim
Thanks, my question was about putting the disposable on vs. the reusable.

Safe-T Swim
We did the reusable over disposable and just stopped at almost 4 years old. Poop leaks and then whole pool has to be closed. Even with 2 dd leaked at 2 yrs old and pool was closed. I was mortified.

It leaked with the disposable under the reusable?

Yes. Disposable under and reusable over. Only happened 1x. It was gross. Luckily they had showers because the water and the poop made it go everywhere. Not a fun memory.

Re: Safe-T Swim
They used to allow a reusable and disposable but changed it last spring when the pool kept being closed because kids were pooping. Honestly I still use the disposable with a reusable and a bathing suit - for me to use what they want I had to buy the reusables in two different sizes and a bathing suit 3 sizes bigger than my daughter wears and she was so uncomfortable saying it was too tight and would scream and cry. When we did the baby and me classes there were two times kids pooped And both times it was the ones who were wearing only a disposable diaper with no reusable diaper. The disposable diapers hold in barely anything. even in the summer I use a disposable and reusable diaper together since I dont want to have to clean up poop in a reusable diaper at the public pool.

Safe-T Swim
DD goes there now and doesn't wear a reuseable diaper at all. Just a disposable one
