Mid Island Y JCC in Plainview received a threat today UPDATE: threat to oceanside, too
Also Staten Island. Those are the NY ones I know of so far. Still getting reports in from around the country.
I am so sick of this. I am so done. Do I call my son's school every time? I'm terrified. What if the threats stop but the next incident isn't a threatening call?
My son has been evaucated

It's all very unsettling. And the admin says it's the Democrats doing it to make him look bad (like he needs anyone's help to make him look bad). Another cemetery--this one in Philadelphia--was desecrated this weekend too.

First of all, I'm so sorry to you and all the others who have been dealing with this time and again.
Curious what you have been told as far as who is investigating and handling this? I mean, I've heard report after report but nothing about a single lead or arrest. It's just unacceptable.

Local police are aware. As a parent, I haven't heard beyond that. As a professional working in the Jewish nonprofit world for a large umbrella organization, I know that the FBI is involved.

I honestly can't imagine. I saw that it's happening a lot in PA now too. My governor has said that he has state police and homeland security looking into the culprits. I hope this is stopped ASAP, I can't fathom how deranged someone can be to target people based on religion, let alone children! Sick world.

At least 20 Jewish community centers and day schools in Alabama, North Carolina, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, Virginia and Delaware received threatening phone calls, The Huffington Post has confirmed.
This is the fifth wave of threats JCCs have received since the start of the new year.

There have now been more than 160 bomb threats made to over 60 Jewish community centers since January. The Huffington Post is tracking the threats here.

How is it that this has been going on for weeks and no one's been caught? I would be terrified if my child attended one of these centers. Can't imagine. And not a peep from Trump, of course.

I will say, what scares me much more than the called on threats is the one that *isnt* called in, if you know what I mean. Ultimately, a threat that is called in is super scary but probably more unlikely to be real. Someone who really wants to hurt people isn't going to give them a heads up.

So did I. I'm so sickened by all of this.
But, even more sickened by people trying to spin this by saying it's Dems doing this to smear Trump. I just can't continue to argue with these people.

It's unsettling to drop off your child to a parking lot full of news crews. Maybe they can keep bombers away. I'm sickened by the idea that 45 says it's Jews doing it. This whole thing has shaken me and makes me want to vomit.

Just saw an arrest was made. 31 year old male in St. Louis. Apparently harassing a former girlfriend making the threats in her name. Bizarre.
New info says this is not the robo call threats, but specific threats made by him to 8 centers. THE FBI investigation into the robo calls is still active

I'm almost glad I didn't see this until now. DS goes to school across the street from Mid Island and we pass it every day. I hope they put a stop to this! I can't take it anymore!!!

Juan Thompson, 31, was arrested in St. Louis and will appear in federal court in Missouri on Friday afternoon on a charge of cyberstalking, authorities said. There was no information on an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
Federal officials have been investigating 122 bomb threats called in to nearly 100 Jewish Community Center schools, child care and similar facilities in three dozen states that began Jan. 9. Thompson started making his own threats Jan. 28, and authorities are continuing to investigate the other threats, they said.
