Mid Island Y JCC in Plainview - Any LIF members?

I live very close to there also and always keep meaning to go over and take a tour, maybe take some classes, but never do. Its dumb because its soo close, I really should. I actually did try to take a mosaic class a few times but it kept getting cancelled.

Do they accept non-jews? It always looks like something is going on there and I feel like I am missing out on the fun!

I don't think they'd exclude anyone. If they did, I wouldn't join. DH says by law, they have to accept everyone. Its discrimination otherwise. We could make a playdate soon.

 If it's anything like the JCC in Commack then Yes they do...
Im not familiar with Plainview but I love the one in Commack.

I've worked with Y/JCCs for years and they do not (and cannot, as Leslie said) discriminate if you're not Jewish...they pride themselves on being social work agencies catering to their local constituents...you just have to be aware of the Jewish (mostly cultural) presence at some events

We are joining. They have a $100 of promotion. They showed us the schedule for work out classes and I thought of you when I saw Zumba even though I have no clue what its about.
Anyway, I live close, you need to come by!!!
