Where do you buy girls quality shoes?
My girls are 6 and 4 and I'm so sick of Payless/target shoes. I use to buy almost all of their shoes at stride rite outlet but now that is gone and they are getting older and wear size 13 and size 12 there isn't much to choose from at stride rite.

I noticed Target has some made by stride rite, at least in the toddler sizes.

Deer park stride rite is still there. I also like famous footwear are sketchers at the deer park outlet. I like dd to get measured and try on all shoes.

Stride Rite in Lake Success is still there.

I buy a lot at Marshalls and TJ Max. My girls also love Uggs, so I buy those at Journeys or Nordstrom usually. Famous footwear and DSW are also good for us.

Marshalls usually for shoes, sandals and boots. Reebox, Skechers and Under Armour for sneakers.

I take dd to an old-fashioned shoe store on merrick road in merrick. It's branded as a stride rite but carries lots of brands. She has a super narrow foot and is flat footed, so she needs a good dress shoe or her heel will just slip out.
FYI, yes, stride rite in deer park is still open. They had a selection of girls' dress shoes (none that worked for dds feet though!). I was there last week.

All this. We took DD to Proper Fit on Merrick Rd. to be measured and then I got her more pairs on Amazon once I knew her size.
I was at the Stride Rite outlet in Deer Park a few weeks ago and it didn't appear they were closing. They didn't have much for her because we have the opposite problem- my DD has super chubby feet and needs extra wide!

I just always search zappos and amazon to find the same shoe she is currently wearing in the next size up. We've been loyal to saucony ever since she first needed shoes and its been good.

Cientas. $36 each on zappos but I NEVER pay that. I google and find on sale and buy stock in larger sizes. They're like sneakers, but look like maryjanes. They hold up so well in the wash. I also get (always on sale) converse, vans, sketchers light up. Nordstorm off the rack has the best shoes.
