I thought it was a good episode. I liked the story of how they met. It was disappointing to me only because it was the season finale. I expected a little more excitement.

its a good show....just a good show...i enjoy it and watch it weekly, but by no means does this show live up to the hype......i wasn't surprised one bit that we didn't find out how jack died! I liked seeing how they met.......

While I love this show, I do think they are a little self indulgent and hype themselves WAY too much. It was a nice episode, that's all you can say about it. In no way was it intense or groundbreaking......................unless you consider marital problems and fighting a new concept on TV shows. lol
I don't watch a ton of TV so I'm not the best judge of whether it is groundbreaking or not, but that fight that they had was probably the most "real" fight I have ever seen on TV. More real than anything on a reality show, premium cable, etc.
I am not a SAHM but it reminded me of the pissing contests DH and I sometimes have in our lower moments lol.
I agree that it wasn't deserving of the hype. I was impressed though.

I actually didn't hate it till the end because it seemed somewhat "real" for once. Those kids live in some sort of fantasy world. Kate is going to be a singer? Randall is going to adopt a baby, after he just quit his job? And Kevin's entire situation is beyond ridiculous.
I'm not too heartbroken that it's gone for the season.

I thought Jack and Rebecca's argument was realistic, but kicking him out was over the top. There was no need for that. Rebecca is hard to like.

I think his actions did warrant him leaving. he got wasted, drove drunk, made a huge scene, caused her to cancel her tour, belittled her dream. thats all pretty hurtful stuff. she's not an angel but it sounded like they both needed to cool down.

I think Rebecca gets a bad rep bc the writers have made him and his speeches so perfect. So amazing

I finally finished the season. I am hooked on the show for sure i think its creative and the acting is decent but not phenomenal.
As hooked as i am and as much as it's brought me to tears some of the characters are just annoying me (kate i cant point my finger why i dont like her, Kevin gets his ex wife back after 12 years?!)
Randall is my new fav since will died.
Jack is perfect i want a husband like him  and now I know tv isnt real life. Lol

I just watched the last episode. I have a question. When they are fighting and Jack says you are a 40 year old mom of teenagers pretending to be a singer, her kids are 16, right?
So this means she had them at 24? That can't be right. Because didn't the series begin on his 36th birthday? He can't be 12 years old than her?

It started on his birthday but not his 36th birthday. He shares a birthday with his children and the show starts on their 36th birthday with flashbacks to the day they were born.

Yes. I remember it was the triplets birthday. For some reason I thought he was 36 too. They were born on his birthday, right? Her water breaks when she was doing that bday dance.
Yes, I figured he meant mom in her 40s. I am reading way too much into all this. I need a life.
