Dance class or Gymnastics for 3 year old

Anyone have pros and cons to either one. We need to sign up for the Fall but can only do weekend classes and I don't kno what to sign my daughter up for..

Ask if you can do a trial and see what she likes. Dd1 has been in dance for two years, she'll be four next month. She loves it! Dd2 likes dancing too, but I could easily see her like gymnastics maybe even more.

Dance is a school year with a recital at the end. So cute!

I did dance with DD at that age and she did it for 4 years. Now I have put her in gymnastics and she likes it much better. I wish I started gymnastics earlier but waited on dance.

Dd tried dance at 3 and hated it even though she begged me to join. She is now begging for a gymnastics class so going to look into an introductory class for her to try it out.

I would maybe do a trial and see what she likes better. I think most dance schools will do a trial class after recitals are over. Also, you can look at doing a camp during the summer to see what she likes. Also check Groupon for short term gymnastic classes to get a feel for how she likes it.

My three year old dies gymnastics and loves it. She has done dance trials at camp and liked those as well. I think either would be great but I would probably give an edge to gymnastics. Dance is hard at a young age so depending on where she goes, it may be too controlled and not as fun.
