Dance class for a two year old

My dd loves to dance anytime she hears music on tv she dances. Has anyone ever put their 2 year old in a dance class? If so, how was it?

DD is 2 and she is going to be taking dance next month so I am not sure how it will go as she hasn't gone yet but I am pretty sure she is going to love it.

DD is 22 months and has been in dance class for a month. It's more of a music and movement type thing as opposed to actually learning dance steps, which I think is a good thing. SO they listen to songs that direct movement. The first two classes she didn't do too much, now at week 5 she totally gets it and loves it.

DD1 started at 27 months and loved it. I had to be in the classroom with her for awhile until she was comfortable. Now, at almost 3.5 she's totally fine to just walk in and do her thing while I wait out in the waiting area.

DD2 just started a 4 week summer program last week at 20 months. She is so much more independent than DD1 and she basically ran in the room without a second glance back at me! When 3 other kids started screaming, she got nervous and started to cry a bit. I went back in for a few minutes and then she was fine til the very end when she starting asking "Mama Go?"

She LOVED it!

At 2 yrs old it's more of a movement class- where they learn about taking turns, waiting in a line, etc.

During the year we go to David Sanders (3 locations- East Islip, North Babylon and Ronkonkoma)

For the summer we are at Dance Connection (in Islip)
