Never been to Barbados... but going back to Grand Cayman. It was my favorite beach vacation by FAR. Just been waiting to go back (and we are the type that love going to new places vs revisiting).

Barbados. We spent the day on Grand Cayman when on our Disney cruise and I wasn't impressed which was surprising bc I really expected to love it.

So much for kids to do on Grand Cayman - turtle farm, swim with the dolphins, Margaritaville in town has a pool on the roof they can swim in. We stayed at the Marriot and they had a wonderful kids club and so much for them to do at the beach.
Not sure what Barbados has but I vote Cayman!

Ok thanks ladies!! Any preference on hotels on both islands?
Gor the grand cayman ladies... Westin? Marriott? The packages I'm seeing are not all inclusive but we are willing to venture out and try local restaurants... I just want a nice clean hotel for my husband and kid!

We stayed at the Westin in Cayman with our then 8 and 10 year old's and they LOVED it! The beach is amazing. We at at 2 places across the street that were local and inexpensive. Eats Cafe and Sunshine Grill. Sunshine Grill was our favorite! So fresh and yummy!! We also toured Cayman Spirits Co, Distillery (so much fun) and did Stingray City. That was probably our favorite excursion. I also got a massage at the Westin Hibiscus Spa and it was fantastic! Discovery Dolphin was ok. Memorable but PRICEY!!! Have fun!
