s/o to Hair Products
So that thread got me thinking....every summer since I'm probably 16, I've gotten my hair relaxed for the summer-- I have used the Rusk Anti-Curl. I just do it for the summer (it grows out with my hair) as a means to relax my curls, take out frizz and make it manageable to blow it straight (I have very curly thick hair). Again, I've been doing it for years. Last summer, I decided to try Keratin treatment. It was good. I was going to do one or the other this summer as I now have nothing in my hair and its so incredibly curly -- however, I am now pregnant with my second and my hairdresser said no to doing either the Anti-Curl or the Keratin for the summer - said she wouldnt do either on me. That being said, I need the absolutely BEST product to use to blow out my hair this summer or else I'm going to be a frizzy poodle. I always use something before I blow it straight, but am thinking my usual products wont cut it this summer. Any helpful suggestions? Favorite blowout product to keep my hair not poofy, not frizzy etc. (I dont wear my hair stick straight but the summers are a big mess without my usual treatments!!)

Huh. I would have no issue doing a reputable keratin on you at all. As long as it was well ventilated and if in doubt use a mask but truly so many fellow stylists either had them done or performed them onnclients while preggo

Thanks. Everything I saw on line too said probably not a good idea (or at least there were many stylists who said that they refused to do it) -- I guess the fumes are more harsh than color (certainly I know they stink!) - not sure I want to take a risk....so now I've bought a few different serums to see if any of them can control my mane -- it's not even the summer yet and I'm already a frizzy fun time

I have been straightening my hair for probably 20 years by now (or more) -- I have always hated my curls. My husband was in shock when he saw them basically for the first time recently since I've always had some sort of chemical in my hair, lol. He said "is that really what your hair looks like?" I was amused and saddened all at once, ha!

Thanks! I'll have to take a look. I bought morrocan oil's blowout oil which seems to be decent actually -- I also tried Pureology's product but it was horrible and left my hair soooo dry.
