Salem with kids?
Might be doing Boston/Salem with my 7 yo DS in the summer.
For Boston I think I'm good.
For Salem - are there enough age appropriate things to do? I don't want to freak him out.
I was also thinking of trying to do the beach. Any recs?

Re: Salem with kids?
We were in Salem with our kids, 8 and 4, a few months ago. We had so much fun. We went to the Salem Witch Museum which was interesting, the kids didn't get freaked out at all. We walked the streets, went to shops in the area, and had lunch. There is one road, I forget the name, but it's really cute and all cobblestone, it has a lot of cute shops and Salem Witch Trial things to check out. We were there in the winter so a few things were closed but there seemed to be plenty to do for an afternoon. Have fun!

Salem with kids?
Def do the which museum and the house of the 7 gables. I went at a young age and was not scared so I think you should be fine. Salem is a day trip. it won't be a day where its go go go. Its a nice day to do a few things.

Re: Salem with kids?
We were just in Salem over Spring Break. We went for the day as we were staying in Boston. I know you didn't ask about Boston but my kids loved the Tea Party Museum.
In Salem, we had a late breakfast/early lunch at the Ugly Mug cafe. Food was good! Then, we walked around and ended up going to the House of the Seven Gables. Some of the museum looked cheesy so we skipped them. We had a snack at Jaho's.
