Packing for hospital
What's in your bag? All I can think of that I really need is phone charger, outfit for baby, pajamas and slippers. And something to come home in for myself but no idea what that may be! What else???

Re: Packing for hospital
I packed the following (I tend to overpack, but we live 30 min away from the hospital, so I'd rather overpack than under pack lol)
Myself: -toiletries (tooth brush, tooth paste, deodorant, lotion, travel size shampoo/conditioner, body wash, q-tips, face wipes, hair ties) - 2 nursing dresses (vaginal birth is 2 overnight stays at my hospital) -coming home outfit -underwear (just in case I do not like the mesh ones they provide) -pads -5ft cell phone charger -2 pillows -CHAPSTICK (let me tell you, this is needed! I had surgery with a 2 day hospital stay, and my lips were destroyed afterwards) -breast shields for breast pump (this may sound silly, but I want to LC at the hospital to inspect I have a proper fit, etc)
Husband: -pjs -change of clothes -blanket -pillow -snacks (protein bars, chips etc)
Baby: -2 outfits -swaddle blanket -additional blanket (for when my husband goes home, he can introduce her smell to our cats, so they can become adjusted) -pacifier -car seat
The baby's bag is the largest, so I can bring home all of the supplies the hospital supplies for her, so it has a lot of extra room.

Don't forget hairbrush (I forgot mine:)) and hair ties. and toothbrush of course. I also used lotion and chapstick. I find the air constantly running in the hospital made my face an lips very dry. I also packed a few yoga pants and nursing tanks which is what I mainly wore even to sleep and went home in as well.

Re: Packing for hospital
These were great to have too. Especially if you have a C section and have trouble getting out of bed or the first day when you still have the IV in. I liked having these on my nightstand to freshen up my mouth really quick. Your mouth always feels gross after giving birth for some reason

Re: Packing for hospital
Honestly, I packed very little.
-Toiletries (including the bare minimum makeup because really, I didn't care what I was going to look like) -3,pairs of pajamas, though I didn't even use them all -Underwear -Pads (though the hospital supplied them anyway) -Cheap slippers (didn't want to wear my $$ ones for the house to walk around the hospital) -Clothes for the baby -Phone charger -Camera - My dh packed some things for himself
I didn't bring my boppy, just used a regular hospital pillow to adjust baby when nursing....I didn't bring my own swaddles... I only changed my ds the day we left to go home... I feel like you really don't need much. I just didn't want to keep track of more than I needed to and anything the hospital was able to give me, I gladly used. Just makes things easier, in my opinion.
