Philly Day Trip
My friends from college and I are planning a day trip to Philly on June 29.
I want to have two plans, because if it is brutally hot out, I don't want to be outdoors THAT much.
It's 4 women, 9 kids, ages 10,10, 9,9, 7,6 and 2. (g,b,b,b,b,g and g haha if that makes a difference)
Tell me what's fun!

Philly Day Trip
i grew up about 20 minutes outside of Philly. Definitely the Franklin Institute. its a science museum,, with lots of cool stuff for the kids. The aquarium right across the bridge in NJ is nice. The Philly Zoo is nice. The Please Touch Museum is really fun, too-- but might be a little "young" for the 10 year olds... Also, not far over the border in NJ is Sahara Sams indoor water park, and Diggerland Theme Park...

Two out of four of the women live in Cherry Hill/Mt Laurel, so the jersey stuff is out. We've done that all. LOL

Def Franklin Institute. The Constitutuion Center is pretty cool too. Love going to the historical spots. Kids can get a collectors card from each place. Just ask a Ranger: Betsy Ross' home, Ben Franklin's printshop, They just opened a new museum on Revolutionary War. Good ice cream At Franklins Fountain. Can walk to all. Have fun!
Lots of homeless - might want to talk to kids about it beforehand.

The please touch museum is great for the younger kids. Philly is a great city. Reading Market (Beiler's Bakery!) The line moves fast and is worth it! Check out the pics of the bakery donuts online!), the Rocky sights are fun to walk to if you are a fan of the movies...
