Dog odor
I have two dogs and there is no smell....what is the smell?
We use nature miracle wipes for our new puppy to clean his little paws, he gets excited after he uses the wee wee pads and jumps in his pee lol
Do you have wee wee pads in the house? we throw them out right away and his poop we flush
Our older dog we walk outside
I wonder what the smell is? The actual dog?
Maybe use febreeze odor eliminator?

Re: Dog odor
I notice my dog gets a little stinky around this time of year, but that's due to his allergies. He scratches a lot and rubs his itchy eyes on my couch. He takes claritin daily and gets oatmeal baths to relieve the itch. It seems to help. The first year he developed the allergies it was so bad we had to shave him (he's a golden retriever mix). He had dermatitis and his fur was oily and matted from scratching so much.

Dog odor
our house gets smelly around this time of year due to the humidity. we use carpet deodorizer as I think that is the biggest issue cause he lays in the one room we have carpet. Also we wash our couch cushions every few weeks.

Re: Dog odor
I have short haired dogs. One is 85 lbs and the other is 15. The big one gets smelly faster, but mainly because of the bones we give her (they stink so bad but she loves them) They are only allowed to eat bones in their crates (their room), keeping the smell contained. I wash the beds and blankets in their "Rooms" as needed.
I bathe the little one every other week (in the shower with me) because he sleeps in bed and on the furniture. The big one gets a bath every 4-6 weeks. I keep a blanket on the part of the couch she likes to lay on, so that's easily washed weekly.
I don't have rugs. Only some small mats by the doors. I think that helps a lot with keeping the dog smell out.
I think the best way to keep your house smelling fresh when you have pets is to Keep your pets clean, wash anything your dog may lay on every week or every other week and vacuum a few times a week. I clean with white vinegar - it's an odor neutralizer.
The only time my house smells like dog is when it's raining out and they were out in it. Other than that, nobody ever smells dog when they are here.
