Anyone have a pan that is truly non stick and LASTS?
I feel like all we do is throw out our frying pans because the non stick coating starts to come off and it's gross and probably dangerous to boot.
I don't mind spenidng more for one that will last since the ones I am buying now are costing more money to constantly replace.
Just looking for something to make eggs, grilled cheese, saute veges, etc. Just every day use.
What is a good pan that lasts and doesn't stick?

Yes we try to be super careful. I have no idea why they all suckk so badly, but maybe they are just cheap. I will look into the brands mentioned.

I've had no issues with a Simply Calphalon I've been using for years.

Also be careful not to crack eggs on the pan. That was our mistake on our latest set which otherwise I've been really happy with. It's a Rachael Ray 2 piece set from target.

Mine is an Emeril 12 inch oven safe to 450 that I've had for a couple of years and it's been great. I use it several times a week.

I have some no name brand that I've had for years. If you're putting it in the dishwasher, you need to stop. That's probably why the coating is coming off.
If you're not, then beats the heck outta me! LOL

Yes, no dish washer. It's really strange.

We have All-Clad pans. We've had them for 7 years and they're like new.

I think the issue is your metal utensils. Try palstic! I have a mix of stuff from cheap (T-fal) to expensive (all clad) and no issues with any.

All clad non stick
I only use wood or plastic. Never, never metal, and I hand wash.

Non stick pans aren't really made to last. They recommend changing them every 2 to 3 years.

The issue is I can't get them to last even one year. DH bought a new one yesterday with some kind of lifetime guarantee. We'll see.

Re: Anyone have a pan that is truly non stick and LASTS?
I have a Cuisinart Green brand nonstick skillet that wasn't that expensive. I got it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and I love it. It's held up very well. I also have a pampered chef executive 10" covered nonstick pan that is great.
I really like the cast iron enamel covered pots and pans - like Le Crueset (love my Dutch Oven). But they are so pricey.
I do agree that the key is to avoid metal utensils that will scratch the surface. I use wood or silicone on my nonstick cookware.

Re: Anyone have a pan that is truly non stick and LASTS?
We have two of these...
The Rock
They are textured so they don't scratch as easily. They are my favorite pans at the moment. Seem much more durable than the regular non-sticks I have used. I want to get more!
