Food truck wedding?!

Hi everyone,
I recently became engaged and am so set on having a casual, simple, laid back wedding where food trucks serve as the catering. My fiancé is in total agreement and we both just want something different and fun. ive been through so much in the past 9 years with my first marriage and the passing of my husband (before our divorce was finalized), and I am truly so lucky to be having a second chance at a future with someone who is an amazing human being. That being said, we are having SUCH a difficult time in making this vision a reality. Our budget is fairly small, as we just bought a house this year, and will only have 75-100 people. I've checked some wineries, but their site fees are outrageous. We just went upstate to see the Catskill Mountain House, and that wasn't good. I want to look at Queens Farm, but I'm a little nervous about having to coordinate every detail myself.
At this point, we're open to mostly anything....whatever is easy and still has some good scenery. Also, my dog has to be able to come!!
I'm open to, and really need, any suggestions!! Thank you!

Did you check out the Hallockville Museum Farm? I've seen pictures of weddings there, and they look simple but nice. I have no idea of the price though!

Have you looked into bear mountain? Friends of ours were married up there. It was beautiful.

What about a local brewery? Their fees would most likely be less than winery and it would be casual venue. Congrats!

My daughter was married at Queens County Farm and they were very easy to work with. Definitely check them out.

Seatuck Nature Preserve in Islip may be an option.

I'm going to a wedding at Landers campground in September. I believe the quests can camp free too

youre going to be more stressed out dealing with permits and a ton of vendors. Why not just do a catering hall ( wayyyyyyyyy cheaper) and at the end of the party have a dessert truck and a taco truck or something as people are exiting. I had a Mr. Softee truck and it was a HUGE hit and it only cost me 250?300? I dont remember.

I had my wedding photos taken there. They are super easy to work with but to have a wedding there, youll probably need everything from tables, chairs, plates, etc

I would suggest this as well. You may be better off just doing a catering hall. Some ways to save on costs would be off-peak time of year, or day wedding

ITA. My SIL got married at Mohonk Preserve and it was beautiful but so stressful bc they had to bring in and coordinate everything. The most laid back thing you can do is go with a catering hall and add a few touches to make it what you want.

Re: Food truck wedding?!

Yeah I'm with the rest of the posters, unfortunately. My best friend was a very hands off, didn't want to worry about it, simple wedding low-budget kinda bride. They got married at the mansion at timberpoint on a Friday and it was all-inclusive. Granted they got the photo, flower, and dj that came with the package but it was ridiculously cheap. Like close to $10K... It was about 100 people and I know she got a deal because of a cancellation but you would've NEVER known it was an all-inclusive and they were very laid back about the whole process. They were the only wedding at the venue and it was honestly one of the nicer places I've been too. If she hadn't told me, I would've never known it cost her that much.

Great South Bay Brewery

They are in Bay Shore and it is a tasting room. They do not serve food and will have food trucks outside at times. They do private events and I would imagine this is the type of setup you might like.

Like previous posters have said, the DIY casual laid back wedding is a lot more money, time and work than people think. Related to Timberpoint is West Sayville Country Club. I got married there on a Sunday afternoon and it was like being in someone's backyard. I'm partial of course but it was one of the nicest, most relaxed wedding I was ever at. Timberpoint was our 2nd choice. Both venues are owned by Lessings and comparably priced.
