Barclays center-
Is driving there and parking in a lot a huge pain in the butt?
We're going to summerslam tomorrow with our kids (7 and 3) and I hate driving in the city/bk etc but I'm wondering if it makes more sense to drive so that I'm not relying on a train schedule and possibly not getting seats on the way home so late at night...
What say you?

We just took our 8 yr old to the Shawn Mendes concert and after going back and forth between driving or training it, we ended up taking the train. It was easy peasy. The parking garages near the center charge insane amounts. We didn't have any issues with seats on the way there. On the way home, we got a seat for my son and myself. It was crowded, but not super crazy.

Re: Barclays center-
Train is hands down easier.
I'm on the Pt Washington line, so we drove to the Hempstead line and picked up the train there. No switching at Jamaica.

Re: Barclays center-
Train is always always far superior to driving anyone in the NY Metro area I spent 2.5 hours getting home from the Yankee/Met game at Citi Filed the other night because we JUST missed our connecting train in Woodside and had to wait 40 min for the next one, and then had to wait again at Jamaica and then I had to wait for a cab at ronkonkoma because I didn't drive to the station that day, but it was STILL 100% better than attempting to drive.

Barclays center-
Definitely train. We had gone there a while back and I think we were driving/stuck in traffic/looking for the parking garage longer than we were at the show.

Definitely train. I live right near there and parking is really rough w all the construction in the area. The garages are really expensive, and street parking will be hard to find unless you want to park a 10 min walk away. The LIRR lets out right across the st from the Barclays Center.
