Career Advice Needed for SAHM
I've been a SAHM for the past 7 years. Before kids, I worked for DH's business trying to help it get off the ground. I did a mix of accounting, HR, marketing, etc.
I'd like to go back to work in the next few years but I'm afraid that 1) being a SAHM is going to look really bad on a resume and 2) all my skills are very industry specific and I don't want to work for a competitor of DH's.
Ideally, I'd like to work in HR but when I look on Indeed, most of the jobs requite software experience that I'm not familiar with (like PeopleSoft) or certifications I don't have.
Any advice on how to move forward?

Re: Career Advice Needed for SAHM
If you want to get started in HR without the certs or software experience maybe try an HR assistant or even look for jobs titled, Staffing Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator - something like that. While those are not HR per se, they are generally entry level jobs that can kind of get you into HR if you want to go that way.
