Epcot International Food and Wine Event
Has anyone gone? I'm going to Disney with my mom and aunts the first week of October and we found out that it's going on at the same time. I've never been and I wanted to know what people thought, what I should look for or any other tips?

I have been... its a blast and the perfect adult activity in Epcot. Awesome food & wine pairing at almost all countries.

Re: Epcot International Food and Wine Event
We were there last year. Really enjoyed it. Tried a lot of good things. Lots of fun in addition to the regular Disney activities.

Re: Epcot International Food and Wine Event
DH and I go every year. It's really great. Go online and check out some of the wine and food tasting events. Last year we did a wine tasting, a cheese tasting and a chocolate tasting. You do need to reserve these in advance but they are really good, relatively cheap and a nice way to pass some time.
There will be LOTS of food and drinks. Epcot does get very crowded with locals on weekends (especially towards the end of the Festival (mid-November).
We don't bother making a lot of dining reservations when we're there for Food & Wine because we tend to snack at all the booths.
We gave up trying to drink around the world a few years ago - now we drink around the world splitting drinks. We still can't make it through the entire festival!

I know! We actually sat down and made a list of the places we want to hit and what we wanted to get from them. No quick serves necessary in Epcot this time! Thank goodness you can use quick serves for 3 snack credits because I have a feeling we're going to go through a lot of credits there!

OMG, this would be enough to get even ME to go to Orlando- and that is saying a LOT! I could totally see this as a kid free trip- stay at the Four Seasons and attend this. Damn! This looks fabulous!

Re: Epcot International Food and Wine Event
as far as tips go:
snacks and cocktails add up quickly. I don't like to carry a lot of cash. Rather than put everything on our magic bands, they sell festival reloadable gift cards which we buy. They fit on your wrist and help control some of the spending!
As far as using quick serve credits for 3 snacks, you use all 3 credits at the same booth because they have to be in the same transaction. We never find that works for us, but everyone is different.
If you feel like a splurge, check out if they are having a special event when you are there. I highly recommend the Party for the Senses - it's expensive but it is outrageous, but any of the cooking classes, wine tastings, whiskey tastings, etc. are really good.
We avoid Epcot on weekends. It really does get insanely busy on weekends with lots of locals.

It's my favorite thing to do in the whole world. DH and I are going (sans kids) for my birthday in November. It really is my happy place.

Epcot International Food and Wine Event
DH and I are taking an adult only trip and spending all 6 days at the festival. We have events booked for 3 different days. It's our favorite time of the year. This will be our 4th festival.
