My favorite is hershey park tickets. They are easy to sell and you are getting a good discount.
The wrapping paper sale if very important to most schools since many times its the first fundraiser of the year. I always buy paper its good quality and I will use it for the year.
I love the fall plant sale, I buy all my mums and corn stalks from there and they are awesome.

Re: Enjoyable school fundraisers
Last year were my favorite ones ever - the elementary did Little Ceasar's pizza kits - 3/$20 I think. It was so successful in the fall that they did it again in the spring.
When she was in PreK they did wreaths at Christmas which was nice.
It didn't top what the HS PTA sent home; I mailed in a $100 check.

Enjoyable school fundraisers
I ran one for boyscouts for fresh holiday wreaths that was really successful. They ship around Thanksgiving. This is the company I used and they were great.

Ohh love this!
DD's school is doing the Worlds Finest chocolates and I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that it was a whole assortment and all the chocolates are labeled peanut free (DS is allergic). Not sure who we will sell to besides family though. All our friends have kids at the same school, I'm a SAHM and DH works from home.

The only one I like and purchase from is Square Art. Whether it makes a lot of money I'm not sure.

Those chocolate bars are always a hit..I forgot the name of the company but they come with the crispies or almonds
World's Finest. They're amazing. If anyone's kid sells them you must FM me immediately. I'm not joking.
There are not like they used to be. So much smaller, and the taste isn't nearly the same. I was disappointed!
You're not kidding. They used to be so much thicker when I was a kid. And now they have all these variations. It was great chocolate just plain or with almonds.

Enjoyable school fundraisers
I'm bad. DS just got the Miss Chocolate packet and I threw it in the recycling bin.
I can't. I'm all on board with fundraisers but make it good stuff!
We have Barnes and Nobles day at our school. That's a store I'd purchase from normally so it's great!
A bulb/flower one? Sure!
Tschotchkes? NO!!!

I was just coming on to say fall bulbs! Dh just bought some at Lowe's and it reminded me of that fundraiser. It was a catalogue you could order from. I would definitely be happy to do that one.

Re: Enjoyable school fundraisers
I have to be honest I can't stand that damn Kid's Stuff Coupon Book.
It's usually for stores and things I NEVER EVER go to. And if I do, I always forget the coupons.
I tried sending it back in K and they just kept sending it home with her so finally I lost my will and just gave up and paid for it.
I think I used ONE Micheal's 40% off coupon that I could have gotten in the flier or off the internet and saved about $4. The whole year.
So the next year, I just sent it back and they got the hint.
This year I am struggling with it again. I looked through it over the weekend and am really TRYING to see how it's worth the $25 to me and I see a coupon for the Lemon Tree I can use for DD's haircut but really, it's a savings of $1.
DW tickets and other stuff I get cheaper through specials throughout the year on the park website or the AAA member website.
I never remember to bring coupons to McD's etc
The bowling is not for any lanes we go to nor is the movies.
They have Rits'a ices, not Ralphs . There are like 3 Ralph's in a 5 mile radius of my house. No Rita's
All in all its lame shit
Ugh I hate that damn book.

Re: Enjoyable school fundraisers
my DS goes to catholic school and 2x a year they do Gertrude Hawk chocolate sale. Christmas / Easter. I sell a ton at xmas time b/c I bring it to the office. Easter I dont so so much b/c it always come so soon after xmas.
They get 50% of sales which is pretty good.
Student COuncil sells SMENCILS for $1.00 ..these have been a big hit with the kids.
They also do a designer bag bingo in march which is their biggest fundraiser of the year.
WE just started the kidstuff books this year. I bought one for me. Everyone I know is selling them, so im not going to bother.

I also like the dinners our school does. Once a month they choose a place that gives us 20% of each persons total bill. A few pizza places do it, and we have an ice cream place that our teachers help out and my kids love going to get ice cream from their teachers lol.
Our schools do this too, but realistically how much money do they make? One night they did McDonald's and the school got something like 10% of the sales. So If I spend $15 they get $1.50.
Our school makes a decent amount on these - between $100-$200 each time. I ran one through BJ's Brewhouse and they got back $200.
It's pretty easy to set up for the return you get.

They sent home two to us this year - one for each kid. Our school does it though since they get back 50% of all sales.
I did notice there are about $20 in Toys R Us Coupons (unfortunately - Toys R Us is declaring bankruptcy so I probably won't get to use all the coupons.
