First airplane ride
In Nov we will be flying for the 1st time with my 4 yr old DD and 6 month old DD. Any suggestions for keeping my older one busy- it's 5 hour flight. Which toys, besides the iPad are best. Also, we did not purchase a seat for the baby- any suggestions for flying with her too? I plan to nurse her for take off and landing.

First airplane ride
We flew with our girls for the first time this summer. The big hit for toys was sticker books. A silly faces one my mom gave them and a m&d puffy sticker book with girls you dress up (my 5yo played with this one for hours at a time). Model magic was a big hit, Iike play doh but no mess. I had a few little dolls, coloring books, those magic ink books from the dollar section at target, spot it. We didn't bring s tablet or anything like that do I wanted plenty of options. Snacks and lollipops were the big hit with my 2.5yo lol.

Re: First airplane ride
bring lots of snack and also just NEW toys (a new doll, new stickers, new coloring book etc). If you are not flying alone with both kids you should be able to manage without getting a seat for the baby. Good luck!

First airplane ride
Tons of snacks especially dum dums and the ipad are all life savers.
I am all about survival on a flight anything that you can do to make them happy just do it so that you can make it through it.
I have flown many times with my DS who is 3.5 and he is a great flyer but he can get cranky especially on the overnight flights.

Re: First airplane ride
Yes definitely food! She made her way through about 6 different snacks in our 2.5 hr flight to Orlando!
We preloaded the iPad with some tv shows so we didn't have to worry about an internet connection.
I bought her a new art set that kept her busy for awhile, and a bunch of $1 crafts from Michael's, like those wood figures that come with markers.
For the lo, new toys. Novelty is your best friends. I've only flown with a car seat for my dds so I dint have further advice logistically.
