In school goody bags for birthday - yea or nay?
Do most parents send them in? If so, what do they put in them? This is for kindergarten.

In school goody bags for birthday - yea or nay?
Nay for me, too. I hate the junk that's usually in a treat bag and DS has food allergies so he usually can't eat any of the stuff people put in them. I don't think they're allowed in DS' school either but we're in NC.

In school goody bags for birthday - yea or nay?
in our district thats how the want you to celebrate--- send in non-food goodie bags. its all little trinkets/ junk-- but the kids like it. my sons is coming up and he had such a blast the other night picking out stuff on amazon to put in the bags LOL
last year in kindergarten, the teacher set up a time for the parent to come in and read a book to the class.... but i don't think thats going on in first grade.
ALSO- the PTA has a school store that they run at lunch time, and they sell "gift certificates" that you can put in the goodie bags so the kids can pick out their own little piece of junk HAHA

Definite no for me.
i think we got maybe 1 or 2 in kindergarten and they went straight to the trash.
