Re: Cleaning white subway tile grout in shower
The tiles with diluted Mr. Clean and a sponge. The grout with a toothbrush. If some extra "oomph" is needed, I spray peroxide, let that sit and go at it again with a toothbrush.

Cleaning white subway tile grout in shower
One of my friends suggested using Clorox toilet bowl cleaner with bleach. It’s in a green bottle that has a pointed nozzles. So you can dispense it right into the grout lines. It works amazingly.

Bleach actually eats away at the grout, that's why I won't use it. Peroxide and a little elbow grease work just fine.

I heard this. I just redid bathrooms last year so want to be careful. I keep seeing on pinterest that vinegar and dawn mixture. I read online about the peroxide too.

Vinegar and Dawn didn't do anything except make my bathroom smell like a floral salad. I try to be on top of it, so the mildew doesn't build up. Sometimes a little baking soda on the wet toothbrush helps too, it's abrasive enough on the grout but won't scratch the tile. DH usually cleans the bathroom, but I do the shower part.
