Kids Fiber Supplement?
Anyone give one to their child(ren) and have actually noticed an improvement in their ability to have a looser BM? I see tons of fiber gummies on Amazon but all seem to get such mixed reviews with many people stated they saw no difference in their child's bathroom habits. DD poops regularly but I've noticed that with her picky eating and decreased water intake compared to what she was drinking in summer, her BM's are harder making it more difficult for her to go. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Kids Fiber Supplement?
I tried the tasteless powder in a glass of water but dd (age 4) knew I was up to something. I usually now just give her a jar of puréed baby food prunes when her poops are a little hard, and that seems to help.

Yes, we used to have DD on a regimen of a chewable probiotic, Lil Critters fiber gummies and Miralax (a small amount 1x per day). We had to keep tis routine for several months but she greatly improved.

Re: Kids Fiber Supplement?
When my kids were toddlers I just gave them the baby food prunes and that did the trick. As my son got a little older I gave him fiber one products.

Kids Fiber Supplement?
For the folks who gave the baby food prunes.
How long does it take to take effect?
Is it - "they eat it now and an hour later will poop" or is it "Its not a fix for today, its an overall fix" (kind of like taking a probiotic, that doesnt fix your stomach right away, but more of a maintenance thing)

Kids Fiber Supplement?
My son just started (11 days ago) taking culturelle kids. The first week I didn't feel like it was making a difference but our pediatrician said give it at least 2 weeks. He had regular BMs yesterday and today which is an improvement since he wasn't going everyday. We changed other things too though so its hard to say what is actually working.

Usually her next be will be softer. It doesn’t make her go any sooner, just softens things up.

This definitely depends on your child. When my kids have prunes, they go within an hour. I’ve learned not to give prune juice because we’ve had some explosive situations afterwards. Again, that’s just with my kids. I know plenty of families who don’t encounter the loose poop fiasco we do

Agreed- prunes don't do anything for my DD. To be honest, if she is really backed up, and in pain, the only thing that helps is a dose of Miralax. It's like magic. She does take a fiber gummy daily and I tried her on probiotics for like a month or 2, but to I don' t feel like they help her. When she gets backed up, it's bad
