Egg retrieval
Doing egg retrieval procedure, the 2rd cycle, the 10th days of medication injections today, 300 unit Follistim and 150 menopur for 5 days and 450 unit Follistim /150 menopur last 4 days. My doctor just called and went through things with me that things are going slow, E2 only 280, and I’ ve got only one follicle growin 15 mm, and there is another one about 10 mm, my options are either continue for a couple of extra days of medication and see what happen or cancel the cycle since the chance is very low, and to save my money and time. Gosh...what should I do, for my situation anyone’s advise/ opinion will be appreciated!

Egg retrieval
Sorry you are in this situation... the prospect of cancelling a cycle (or having it cancelled on you) sucks!
What were the results of your first egg retrieval cycle? Was it significantly better? Do you have DOR or anything? If there is good hope of a better cycle, I would probably cancel. If this is as good as it might get, then I might not want to waste all the drugs and time I put into it.
Another factor is cost. Does your insurance pay at all? if so, are you only allowed a certain # of cycles and this would count as one?
It's not an easy decision to make. I'd probably hang in a few more days to see if anything happens, but might cancel if nothing improves.

So sorry. It depends what your diagnosis and history is. Age. So many things to consider. If your RE thinks you can do better and its just a fluke cycle I'd cancel. I regret not cancelling my first IVF cycle because I could have done better with a higher dose of meds. Are you out of pocket or have ivf insurance. Typically estrogen is 200 per mature follicle. I did two ivfs this year with 3 mature follicles and another with 9 mature follicles. Every cycle is so different.
