Anyone else gag on their pre-natal vitamin....
My appetite sucks I am trying to eat things that won't make me nauseous, but now I am having a hard time even taking my pre-natal vitamin. Everytime I put it in my mouth, I gag.

If you need to get yourself just a chewable mulitvitam for those days that is fine. Can you eat anything?

I do! Mine is chewable and it tastes so gross. Lately, I've been crushing it up and taking it with either my daughter's banana baby food, yogurt, or applesauce, and I cant even taste it that way, but I still gag b/c I know its threre...

I did that for a long time. Eventually I got used to it. I just tried not thinking about it when I took it. That helped a little bit.
I hope it gets better for you.

How far are you? My Dr. told me at the beginning, the most important thing to get is the folic acid. She said to take folic acid at a minimum, add my usual one a day women's if I could, and to trade both for the prenatal if I could stomach it. I took my one a day and extra folic acid until I got out of the nausea stage (about 8 weeks) and then switched to the prenatal. (I take my prenatal at night because otherwise it makes me nauseus).
Anyway, ask your dr. - if you are early on you might be ok with taking something else until you feel better.

I just bought a food-based organic prenatal from my heakth food store - you have to take 4 a day but the nutritionist there told me that you can even take it on an empty stomach - I'll let you know how it works!
