Hello I went for my first sono yesterday at 5 weeks and 4 days according to my LMP. I have a feeling I ovulated late since my period has been about 30 days. I did IVF for a year . And then took a month and half off and here I am now! I have had losses so I worry and that’s why my OB brought me in for sono. My numbers have been good last time it was 1,259 and progesterone of 18.8 I am repeating again today. My first sono pic showed just the sac . I know it’s early but just looking for feedback from others . After I get blood results they will bring me back next week for another sono.

5w4d is still early! Even REs usually don't check for a HB until 7w. Congrats! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: First sono Sac

I’ve been in a similar place Chat Icon Congratulations!!

I totally understand the stress. When you conceive naturally, it’s hard to be absolutely sure of your dates, and that’s stressful when you’re so used to the precise dates you get with an IVF cycle. A lot can change in a day... two days... The best you can do is distract yourself and wait for the next sono when you’re further and have more information.

Re: First sono Sac

You really can't date by your LMP if you have long cycles like me.
Not everyone ovulates on day 14. I know I never did.
It sounds like you are right where you should be based on that and your numbers.
Try not to stress too much yet!
Good luck!

That's the only symptom I had with all three healthy pregnancies I've had. When I didn't have cramping they ended early. So I was always happy to have very light cramping!

Last Thursday my numbers were over 7,000 and progesterone was 22.8.
I wrote how last week I had some light cramping, but nothing else. I haven’t had any cramping or any other symptoms. My boobs still feel
Swollen. I have a sono scheduled for this Thursday. According to the calculator online I’m approx 6 weeks and3 days. Just wondering how others felt around this time .

Really just super sore boobs and a VERY heightened sense of smell at that point. And some pulling sensations in my lower abdomen

What you’re feeling is normal but it will vary for everyone. I once was feeling light cramps at around 10 weeks, googled it, and so many people said it was normal. Then someone commented that she was freaked out because she WASN’T feeling cramps! It’s such a head game.

Wishing you the best on Thursday.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I had ZERO symptoms at that point, both times. If I hadn't taken a pregnancy test, I would never have known I was pregnant. The second time, I didn't know I was pregnant. I had my first appointment at 7w3d and heard the heartbeat. About 8 weeks I started to get morning sickness so that was great. The second pregnancy, I miscarried right before my first appointment, but this was after HEAVY bleeding and very painful cramping.

Just an update . Went yesterday for the sono and measured at 6w5d. The heartbeat was 117. The tech told me everything looked good and sounded good. Didn’t see the doctor though. Not seeing her for another two weeks along with another sono. Not sure how to survive lol.

Re: First sono Sac

Do you think I should ask to go in a week sooner? I have just had so much happen in the past. When I’m scheduled to
Go next time I’ll be in my 9th week they said it will be considered my OB appointment to go over prenatal care etc. I know I was just there at 6w5d but I have to be my own advocate. I also have plans to see a high risk dr. Beore or around 12 weeks. I am 38 and again because of my past.

It can't hurt to ask. Tell them due to your history you would feel more comfortable coming in again a week sooner. Most people are seen for the first time at 8 weeks so i don't think they'd have an issue with it....

I have a quite a history myself and I’m never shy about asking for the added reassurance. In my experience with various doctor offices, it’s NEVER been an issue.
