Bathroom renovation (ballpark)
I'm thinking of getting my 2nd bathroom redone, nothing fancy (small with shower/sink/toilet). Can anyone give me a ballpark figure of what they think this will cost? It's very dated, but still functional, so I'm not going to bother if it will be expensive.

Re: Bathroom renovation (ballpark)
we recently gutted and re-did our main bath (tub/sink/toilet) and I'm pretty sure it cost us less than $10k.

What are the dimensions? I can shoot out a quick text to a few contractors we do business with and get a general idea for you.

Bathroom renovation (ballpark)
I believe my small coop bathroom was around $8k and nothing was top of the line. Just full gut and nice basic redo.

Bathroom renovation (ballpark)
Our regular plumber quoted us $6k including materials. Full bath I guess about 5x8. Not sure if that was discounted because we use him for everything.

Re: Bathroom renovation (ballpark)
Depends on size and materials but I would estimate $10K to be on the safe side (if it's a smaller bath and your materials are basic, maybe $1K-$2K less). This assumes you are hiring someone to do the renovation and not doing parts of it yourself.

Re: Bathroom renovation (ballpark)
DH did our smallish bathroom over himself. He spent about $3500 on materials and did all the labor himself. He did not go super high end on materials.
So figure that, plus whatever they charge for labor/plumbing etc. (which is honestly the bulk of your costs)
We will be doing another bathroom over soon and I want higher end materials so I am figuring on $5k in materials. It's very tiny though but has a tub/shower combo (full bath)

Re: Bathroom renovation (ballpark)
You will save a lot if you buy the materials and just pay for the labor. I did this recently with 2 baths in a condo. The only items I did not purchase was the kerdi-board, thinset, crown and floor molding.
The master bath is large (2 rooms) so it was quite a bit more in materials than the guest bath. Tile for shower was higher end as well. I kept a running list of all items purchased. Here is the breakdown;
Materials Purchased for Master Bath Remodel ~ 6k.
- Tile for shower walls (marble) - Tile for shower floors (porcelain) - Grout - Tile Sealer - Caulk - Profile Strips - Threshold - Niche Tile - Shower Faucet Valve - Custom Glass Shower Doors - Toilet - Custom Vanity - Vanity Hardware - Vanity sink and quartz counter-top - Sink Faucet - Vanity Lighting - Custom Vanity Mirror - Bath Fan/Light - Floor tile (porcelain "wood") - Floor Tile Grout - Caulk for base molding - Solid Core Door - Door Hardware - Door Hinges - Hing Door Stop - TP Holder - Towel Bars - Paint (trim and walls)

Re: Bathroom renovation (ballpark)
If you need advice, let me know. I lived and breathed this project (full condo remodel) for months.
